Little Pedro's has been sold! Final bash Sat, Jan. 7th!
Yes, it's true, the owners of Little Pedro's have sold the bar, so we're going out with one final bash. Featured in the LA Times and the dance pick of the week in the LA Weekly, the party will feature a live perfomance from Chow Nasty and DJ sets from Peanut Butter Wolf (Stones Throw), Jeremy Sole (Afro Funke), Turbotito (Ima Robot), and Rudy Bleu (La Polla Loca), with maybe a surprise performance here and there. Everything goes from 10PM-2AM, Sat, Jan 7th, it's 21+, only five bucks at the door, and bring your dancing shoes, because you will need them.

Thanks to all our loyal customers and friends over the last few years. If you want to know what we're going to do next, well Chris and Cat are going to open up an art gallery downtown, Mark is going to continue running his Anon Salon promotions company, and Alexis will focus on his promotions and management company, Echo Park Records. Again, thanks for the crazy nights and great times.

    Dance Pick of the Week
    LA Weekly, January 5th-12th

The folks at Little Pedro’s added a bit of spice to the club scene last year, serving up hefty helpings of rock, electro and Latin music along with wild, weird stuff such as Burning Man bashes and Mickey Champion’s fried chicken jams. But alas, with new owners coming in, these eclectically inclined clubsters are bidding adieu. This body-rockin’ night will mark their last party there, and it’s sure to be a doozy, fusing wild rock with infectious hip-hop and more. DJs include Stone’s Throw Records guru Peanut Butter Wolf, plus Jeremy Sole, Turbotito (Ima Robot) and Rudy Bleu (turntable resident from Pedro’s now defunct bi/gay ol’ time known as La Polla Loca). The event is also a video-release party for Bay Area rockers Chow Nasty, who’ll perform as well, but don’t expect the dance floor to be any less rowdy — these guys know their way around a groove, a gift that got the attention of Wolf, who's producing their debut album. All in all, a perfect way to say ciao to Li’l P’s. At Little Pedro’s, 901 E. First St., dwntwn.; Sat., Jan. 7, 10 p.m.-2 a.m.; over 21; $5. (213) 687-3766. — Lina Lecaro
